Favourite OWMCC Player ever? David James – played against him dozens of times and he always got runs.

First game played/watched at OWMCC? Can’t remember, but my favourite was last seasons Presidents Cup Final. Seeing a team come out and win against the odds was so enjoyable and seeing what it meant to the club makes it all worthwhile.

Anything you are looking forward to in particular this season?

Seeing the continued growth and togetherness of the club across all facets.

PREDICTIONS

1st Team Finishing place in Div 1? 2nd – think the determination is there for promotion back to the Championship.

2nd Team Finishing place in Div 2? 9th – really tough division but I think the 2s will battle hard and win enough to stay up and build.

OWMCC Player to hit most 6s? Will Cooper – hits it miles and will thrive on being captain

OWMCC Player to take a hatrick? Sam Patel – hot summer, will turn it square on dry pitches.

Most likely OWMCC player to average more than 50 with the bat? Chaami – looks so good and then gets out. Big season for him.

Any words of wisdom to add? My ambition when I was Chair was to make us wonderful to visit but horrible to play. We have a unique privilege playing this game at a venue like this and we should never take that for granted. Play hard but be good custodians of the game – it is very possible, indeed I would say it is imperative.
